Ajo Blanco con Uvas
(0 ratings)
Recipe by:
DAY-STAR
This is a cold, garlicky Spanish soup - perfect in summer, especially if you can't make it to Spain. Fresh almonds, just out of their shells, are traditionally used. This version calls for ground almonds, as fresh almonds are hard to come by here.
Alioli (All i oli)
(0 ratings)
Recipe by:
Aureli
This is a popular Catalan garlic sauce that goes very well with grilled meat and roasted pepper and aubergine (Escalivada). I have seen many spellings for this (i.e. alioli, aioli...) but the real name is "All i Oli" - from the Catalan for Garlic and Oil - and these 2 are the only ingredients although there are variations and some places add egg to ensure the consistency of the sauce, which with our without egg should look like mayonnaise.
Amanda's Sangria

Amanda
This is a little different from the classic Spanish recipe, but still great! Perfect for barbecues!

Avocado and Tuna Tapas

Recipe by:
La Cocina de Redondita
Living in Spain I have come across a literal plethora of tapas. This is a light, healthy tapa that goes best with crisp white wines and crusty bread. This recipe is great for experimenting with a variety of different vegetables, spices and vinegars.
Baked Chicken and Rice

Chicken rice in the oven - fast and inexpensive with a great end result!
Baked empanadas
(0 ratings)
Recipe by:
Andrea
This is a fairly quick and easy recipe for empanadas. A friend recently gave it to me, and my whole family loved them!!! Just about any kind of fruit, including melon, is fine. Or make the meat filling by using your favourite type of meat. Make one of the fillings or double the pastry and make both!
Bean, Sausage and Kale Soup
(0 ratings)
Recipe by:
PIPPYMOE
A Spanish-style bean soup that's packed with flavour. Andouille is a spicy, heavily smoked pork sausage that is often associated with Cajun cooking. If you can't find Andouille, try fresh chorizo or a spicy Italian sausage.
Calimocho (Kalimotxo)
(0 ratings)
Recipe by:
EKRUDERT
Calimocho, or kalimotxo, is a very popular Spanish cocktail that is served in many bars and prepared by Spanish youth during traditional 'botellon' parties. Calimocho originated in the Basque region of Spain but has spread throughout the entire country and to many other parts of the world. Coca-Cola is the 'authentic' cola for preparing calimocho.

Calves' liver may be an acquired taste, but do not reject it with too much haste; new cooking adventures rarely go to waste. This tasty dish hails from Spain.

Catalan Potato Biscuits - Panellets
(0 ratings)
Recipe by:
JULINOE
These biscuits are traditionally served for All Saints Day on 1st November in Catalonia. Pine nuts can be substituted for the chopped almonds. Cocoa powder or drinking chocolate mix can also be added to the mixture to change the taste. And yes, they are supposed to be squishy when you eat them.
